[View Post on Facebook] After years of work as a dedicated, advocate, passion speaker and volunteer, it's no surprise that heart hero Heather Freligh was named one of our National Youth Ambassadors!

Heather is from Tracy, CA and at just 13 years old, experienced cardiac arrest while at school. Thanks to the quick action of her principal, who performed Hands-Only CPR, along with the support of friends and first responders, Heather survived and is now a passionate voice for heart health in schools.

And her story didn’t just stop at survival - her experience has inspired real change across her school and beyond helping ensure more students and staff are trained, prepared, and protected. Today, Heather is proudly named a National Heart Hero by the American Heart Association— and continues to advocate fiercely for CPR training and heart health education.
